Re: Snapped Aerial

Here's a guide for fitting a new aerial (note it is on opposite side to your aerial)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w3unmzTQnw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; At about 45 secs that shows the hole the base passes through on the nearside. Do you have this hole on your van...

Re: Snapped Aerial

Before you order it might be worth removing your snapped aerial and measuring the length of the base that the mast collapses into and comparing it. The reason I say this is that I've only ever noticed the factory spec aerial on the nearside, I'm not sure it will fit on the offside due to clearance f...

Re: Question for the builders - garage doors

What make is your garage door Dave? You can get rebuild/repair kits for garage doors which would be worth looking into. I fitted one to a 'Henderson' door (big tensioned spring horizontal across top and small cables down either side) and it got it working as good as new. I was a bit nervous about do...

Re: Front-to-rear plastic pipes

Here's a post from the brickwerks blog showing how they fail... https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/brickwerks-blog/front-to-rear-coolant-pipes/ Mine had done the same but I caught them just before they failed. I took the tank out to do mine, it was fiddly and not that easy but I imagine doing it with the ...

Re: Brake fluid dripping down steering column cowling

You need to remove the speedo cowling to see where it is coming from and also to make a visual check/top up of the fluid level - especially before you drive to your mechanics.

Get the cover off the speedo and you'll see what's what.

Re: Fuel Expansion Tank Hose

I'm in the process of replacing the tank on mine after the old tank leaked. On removing the old tank I found tiny pin holes on the top left corner, it looks like the wiring loom has sat against the tank here and rubbed through the paint. The holes were hard to spot so if you're planning to keep your...

Re: Wheels

I'd look at converting to studs on the front, brickwerks do them, but more info here:

Re: Swivel balls

It's not a genuine one but will work a lot better with grease added on the track where the ball bearings run (FYI genuine ones have a greased channel).

Sounds like the hall sender in the distributor is failing to me. Can you post some pics of your install and do you know the engine code?

I've got the small piece that connects the air box to the trunking multisi has posted up. I'll take a pic if you're interested - yours for the price of post if you need it. It sounds like you have the most important/hardest to find part which is that bit that sits up at the top behind the vent - thi...
