High battery reading when running
Hi all
Not been on in ages I hope you’re all well.
Think the alternator is goosed getting a reading of 16.48 V with the engine running, changed the regulator and still same reading.
Any suggestions welcome ???

Thanks for replies, looks like the mk2 Gti steering wheel I bought is the larger spline so would require an adapter.
May I’ll Ebay it and buy a Mk1 wheel at some point

I spoke to a very helpful chap at VW heritage, the manifolds on the 1.6cs and 1.7ky are the same so as long as you have a matching down pipe and silencer either will work.
i.e 1.6 cs down pipe and silencer or 1.7ky down pipe and silencer.

...I have a 1.7 Ky Diesel engine,would a 1.6 cs exhaust pipe from manifold to silencer fit a 1.7 ky engine ? The reason I ask as that is what appears to be fitted to mine ! Have looked at various pictures on brickwerks/ vw heritage and my down pipe most definitely looks more like a 1.6 ! My silencer...
