Replacing the Eberspacher with electric warm air heater
Hi
Has anybody replaced the eberspacher on a Westy Joker with a 240V hot air blower-type heater for use when on hook-up?
Any thoughts on ventilation (?through the Ebby vent pipes?)
Cheers

Re: Replacing the leisure battery charger (1990 Joker)
Went with the Victron Charger in the end - really nice piece of kit, quiet and takes up far less space than the BBB.
Its also bluetooth so you can check on battery / charging status on an app on your phone and use this to switch between modes if you want to.
Thanks for the advice

Replacing the leisure battery charger (1990 Joker)
Hi
Does anyone have any advice on replacing the internal leisure battery charger on a 1990 westy Joker with an alternative?
Is it possible to just wire in a 240v trickle charger?
thanks

Re: 1990, 1.6 turbo post-starting problem
Yeah - I definately had air in the lines. I replaced the fuel filter and tried bleeding the air out at the injectors as suggested

Re: 1.6 JX TD Engine not revving
Hi
When you say 'crack one of the injectors' to remove air in fuel - what do you mean by this?
Think i have a similar problem on cold start of my JX 1.6 TD
Sorry i'm not motor veh engineer so if its too complicated i'll take it to garage

Re: 1990, 1.6 turbo post-starting problem
Can't see any air in the lines - would this be a cracked fuel pipe somwhere? Once warmed up it runs fine and dandy.
Sorry for delayed response - thought no one was bothered.
Thanks for replying

1990, 1.6 turbo post-starting problem
Hi I have a problem that occurs after starting - starts fine after leaving 20 seconds to warm( - think relay is not original as light does not go out). Get to end of road and when braking, van goes to idle then will not increase revs to pull away again, gentle dabbing of accelerator will eventually ...

Re: Replacing Scotchloks
Hi All
Thanks for that info - I think i will go with the solder then, and be careful not to overheat.
I'll put extra length heatshrink along the 2 wires to stabilise the join.
Cheers

Replacing Scotchloks
Having found a very nasty looking nest of Scotchloks in the junction box area of the engine bay, and noting that the previous careful owner has also lost the Junc box cover I feel the need to remove these litle blighters before the corrosion becomes, well - terminal. So.. Was wondering if anyone had...
