Re: GT 15 - 90BHP Wastegate Turbo Hybrid for more BHP
A easy option in this case would be use a JX turbo or even the passat 1.6gtd unit, the problem you face is your turbo is still set up to work with ETDI I.e early spool up, as with all ECU controlled vehicles the big advantage is the fact you can dial timing in very accurately to suit boost pressure,...

Re: AHU fuel pump problem
That lower solenoid adjust pump timing so should not really cause starting issues, is there plenty of resistance when rotating pump by hand, it should be just about possible to rotate by hand if it's any good

Re: ALH pump on an AHU? can i?
One note the ALH pump and 1z/AHU look very different with the main difference being the drive pulley flange and pulley itself, probably better option to have your original pump repaired/rebuilt

Re: 5 times on a AA truck now
No 1.9s don't give any overheating trouble. It does not matter weather you go 1.6 or 1.9 so long as engine you choose is fully rebuilt IMHO, it's just the IDI takes a lot of money to build properly, at least £1200 in partss alone. AW engineering can supply you a good quality rebuild for £1400 plus V...

Re: AHU fuel pump problem
I'd say your pump is toast, as a rule if you leave any fuel pump standing with the usual diesel/ water mix it corrodes cam plates, or weakens one of the two cam plate springs, Ether remove pump and send it off for test and repair ( my first choice ) or buy another used pump, but beware whatever you ...

Re: 5 times on a AA truck now
Just found this AAZ temp gauge by Trunkster » Wed Aug 13, 2014 7:59 am Hi guys. I have an AZZ engine fitted in my van. It was originally air cooled. To cut a very long story short I blew 2 AAZ engines up and I am now having a third one fitted. As you probably know the AZZ engine runs hot. This time ...

Re: 1.9 PD T3 Westfalia Atlantic conversion
We tried upright on Keith's first, if you need to retain hatch height it's a no go, clearance on Keith's was less than 100mm. As for 6 speed, I still think Keith's is to tall on gearing, but that is a problem we should be resolving this month. Shorter final drive on that van will bring it to life. T...
