Re: 'pastle white' doesn't match - any suggestion??

Go to a motor factors who can mix paint to match your van. The will have a spectrometer to identify the colour. That's the way to do it! The original paint will have faded/changed due to UV light, Global Warming, Brexit and any other factors. Try using the factory paint codes to match a 1990s Trium...

Re: Help

Unfortunately, I'm hearing more, and more stories of garages and service centres turning T25 work away, especially engine work. You get a couple of young lads at your local exhaust or service centre to try to remove your exhaust, they snap the exhaust studs in your heads, they are then left with a m...

Re: CS 1600 Diesel. Major oil leak

Thanks for the replies chaps.
I'll clean it all off, and run it up to temp tomorrow to see if I can source the leak.
I'll keep you posted
Got to love T25's! :-)

CS 1600 Diesel. Major oil leak

Sat scratching my head! Got a 1600 Diesel (CS engine) It's got a major oil leak, and drop in pressure (Oil light flashing on dash, and lots of oil being thrown around front/pulley end of the engine, and spewing on to the ground) Removed timing belt cover, and it's not coming from inside there, as it...

Re: Dehler Profi

The interiors in them a pretty fragile. They had quite a bit of moulded plastics/composites. Looked great back in the day, much more modern than the wood/melamine interiors that most converters were using at the time... Unfortunately, over the years, these material's became very, very brittle. Many ...

Re: Cleaning the steering wheel.

Does anyone have any ingenious methods for removing 30 years worth of grime from a standard T25 steering wheel? Mine is quite grubby and just feels horrible , any tips to save on elbow grease or is it just hard work needed? :? As mad as it may seem... I actually use a product called "Elbow gre...

Re: Cleaning pop top roof / canvas with RugDoctor

I've cleaned a few over the years! Best thing that I've found, is a specific "mold cleaner" The spray style, found in most supermarkets. It tends to dry quickly, and kills/removes the bacteria that builds up when roofs are folded over winter, or put down when they are damp. I just spray, t...

Re: DG Engine... Will not start!

I've checked and double checked the leads are correct... But I'll give it a try. I understand what you mean about the timing possibly being 180 degrees out, but I'd had that thought already, and rotated the dizzy 180 to see what happened? Exactly as I thought.. Lot's of popping and whizzing when I t...

DG Engine... Will not start!

Hi Guys help or guidance required from any DG guru if possible please? I've just done an engine swap on the van. Like for like, old unit out, new unit it. The engine that I bought, was a good running motor, although it had been sat on a workshop shelf for around18-24months. The old engine was remove...

Re: No compression.. 1915cc DG

Any news? Yes... After much head scratching, as the van still wouldn't start, even after leaving over night, due to lack of compression. I realised that the pushrods, weren't lined up properly. So, I managed to align them, hold the rail in place, and as per an on line video (in the wiki section) I ...

No compression.. 1915cc DG

I've been scratching my head over an issue, that any help/advice would be much appreciated on. Dragged the old girl from a long hibernation in my parents barn (After about 2 1/2 - 3 years sitting!) Fresh fuel added, new battery, and she fired up pretty easily. (1915cc DG... 1990 year) Let the van si...

Re: T25 and 80's LT comparison

I've had a few LT's over the years. If I were to go back to one, then it would have to be one of the last LT 35's. The 2.4 TD, with power steering. (Maneuvering an LT at low speeds, without PAS is not much fun) They sit fine at 65mph, with more space, and carrying capacity than a T25. The late 2.4TD...

Re: Tow bar bike carrier

I've had various vans that have arrived with these on the back. They function ok, and do what's printed on the tin. However, they are a pain to live with, as you can't open the rear door without removing the rack/bikes. Not such a bad thing on a van with the engine at the front, but with our engine ...
