Re: 1.9 PD T3 Westfalia Atlantic conversion
Just back from Busfest, so time for an update, crazy how quick the years roll by, all good on the Atlantic front, we managed a couple of trips in to europe this year, had to replace a couple of CV they don't seem to enjoy the torque! but all in all still pulls like crazy getting good mpg for a fast ...

Re: 1.9 PD T3 Westfalia Atlantic conversion
So another year on, not so much use as last year but still running spot on, I changed the oil in the box over the summer and there wasn't so much as a sparkle of metal in the oil or on the magnet so not expecting any real issue from the box, all in all couldn't be happier.

Re: Has anyone fitted air conditioning as an after thought?
I also have a complete system that I bought to retro fit in my Westy but haven't made much in the way of progress, the system mounted on the roof are 240v and normaly for static use, the type that was fitted to T3s was useable when the engin is running

Re: TDI AND FLIPPED BOX IN A CALIFORNIA
Thanks now I'm embarrassed  I realise I'm very lucky to have a bus like mine, all I was trying to point out was its not as easy as it seems to successfully Tdi your bus, and if you already have a reliable motor, that's buy no means a bad thing, taking in to account the brakes suspention and ov...

Re: TDI AND FLIPPED BOX IN A CALIFORNIA
As mentioned this is a topic with very different views, For me there doesn't seem much point investing in a modern Tdi in your bus with ANY gearbox that dosent make the best of the mpg and torque that VW spent millions on developing at such low revs, if you want to cruise at 80 mph in a moden tdi yo...

Re: Pros & Cons of Different T25 Standard Engine Types
I guess a question what's the best anything will always be very subjective, I have driven and owned a fair few T3 and in my opinion only I wouldn't bother with an air cooled and as previously mentioned a good body is way more expensive to rectifie than an engine swap my current bus is a 1.9 tdi whic...
