I think those of us in the EU but not living in UK have a need to know about this loophole, might make other things possible...........
C'mon, spill the beans, please?

Re: Rear Brake Drums
So the end result was all good. Brake efficiency test passed this lunchtime and I now sport a lovely little sticker proclaiming to the (spanish) world that my van is indeed good for the road for another year! I must say I much prefer my Opel Omega A & B rear shoe adjustment, through a hole, in t...

Rear Brake Drums
No idea what happened..... I had posted up about my rear brake drums not having the adjustment aperture c/w pictures! That was just before heading off down the mountain for my annual ITV. Failed! Nearside rear brake, both foot pedal and handbrake. Has to be down to the (poor) adjustment and not bein...

Re: Sump plug
After a quick discussion with Brickwerks it would appear that I have a Syncro sump! Who would have thought that! Not that I want to change it or anything........ Can I be certain it is though? It has the two outlets forward and rear that are opened with a 6mm Allen key, look more like bung plugs as ...

Re: Sump plug
Definitely a Homer Simpson 'DOH!' moment. I was so fixated on that sump plug on the rear of the sump that I failed to noitce there was one up front! That came undone nice and easy so oil change went ahead. Did the filling up of the filter bit, only about 3/4 so I didn't spill any when installing it....

Re: Around a van in 60 minutes with
just posting so I don't lose this thread, the pictures and workmanship are second to none.
I will need this and similar threads for inspiration when I get to cut into mine later this year.
Thank you

Re: Sump plug
Think the turbo drain would be the best bet then, I had that off at last oil change to make sure it was clear, I can do the same again this time!
I'll just have to reposition the van to make the best of the slope outside.
Cheers for that Barry.

Re: Diesel fuel leak
Aah, not to worry, did a bit of reading on here and about the VE pumps! Somebody had already fit a second washer there so took that off and fitted a slightly thicker fibre washer, seems to have done the trick, well not leaking when you rev up with no load anyway, it was before. Now it's only the sum...

Re: Diesel fuel leak
I take it that means I have to undo that complete assembly to get the washer on top?
Where do I get the blue seal from Barry?
Cheers

Sump plug
Now it's sump plug problem time. The 6mm allen is just a bit slack and I don't have a 6.5mm to hammer in there, is there an alternative that anyone knows about? Loathe to hack it about just now, annual test coming up on Monday..... The oil has only done 2000 miles since last changed so it should be ...

Re: Diesel fuel leak
Right, I'll have a search for that.
Definitely not the leak off pipes, they have all been replaced and having had that in the past was the first thing I thought but no they are all dry.

Diesel fuel leak
I have been smelling diesel for a short while now, not that it's become a habit or anything! No, after any type of run, short or long I could smell unburnt fuel, especially when reversing but prominent when standing still. I thought initially it was #2 injector as there was fuel in the well there, h...

Diesel fuel hose clips
I have what appears to be double ear crimp connections on my fuel lines in the engine bay. I'm on the process of changing out the fuel filter, but after reading about fuel hose clips in other threads, I would like to know exactly what is the correct clip? I was going to use small jubilee clips, the ...
