Re: full stainless exhaust - where from?
Anyone has put a stainless exhaust on a diesel? Although I'm runninga a TDI conversion, but the turbo is on a JX manifold via an adapter. Also just welded the golf exhaust flange to the original JX exhaust. Yes - I have viewtopic.php?f=37&t=109174 Longlife are a franchise, and they basically bu...

1.6 TD (JX) Oil filter
Help Can anybody tell me what oil filter should be fitted? I can't read the pn on the UFI filter that's in there at the moment - and I'm getting different pn's from every supplier I try (4 so far.....). Took up the Euro car parts oil and filter offer a couple of months ago - but just found out they ...

Re: Rock and roll bed - full width - which one?
I fitted the Bluebird full width a couple of years ago. The constructions that came with it aren't up to much - but it went in OK and it's been good and solid ever since. Only thing to add......to be on the safe side I added drop down legs at the front end as it flexed a little on the cantilever if ...

Re: Happy New Year, oh yeah and HELP!!!
Whereabouts in Brizzle are you? Can't offer much help on the engine (last air-cooled I had was over 10 years ago in an early bay) but know a "pooh" mechanic in a garage near us (Bradley Stoke).....

Suzuki V6 into T25?
I've got a Suzuki Grand Vitara with a 2.5l V6 sat gathering moss at the moment. It's due for an MoT, but the airbag ring's failed, and it'll cost more than the car's worth to get it done. The engine's sound - and would fit in the back of our bus.... is it worth keeping for the future? Has anybody dr...

Re: 1.6 Td performance
I'm sure the amount of fuel you put in can be easily gauged but distance can sometimes be misjudged, inacurate speedo for example, GPS I'm sure would be better. A GPS will only give you an accurate speed if you're travelling horizontally.....so although it'll give you your total miles travelled at ...

35 MPG at a steady 56.....sounds about right ....anymore than that and your calculations are suspect somewhere There seem to be an awful lot of us in here with cr*p maths skills then - coz I've just worked mine out for the weekend just gone and I get just over 38mpg for the run down to Exeter on th...

Re: Curtain Etiquette
I was looking at some of the vans at the show in Halifax today and i'm going to get some new curtains but take them off the curtain rail and thread them onto some curtain wire top and bottom so they don't hang loose. I think. Has anyone else got their curtains on wire ? Cheers David. Yep - I did ou...

Seen some posts on here about rev limit markings on the speedo face for vans without a rev counter.

Re: T25 front hammocks/child's bed fitting.
I bought the JK hammock and fitted it over our feet in the back end. Main reason was we didn't want to lose having the front seats to sit in at night when our little angel (ahem) is asleep.... and it makes a really useful parcel shelf for dumping everything on (and hiding things under) during the da...
