Re: 8j ??
I have 8j alloys with 45 profile tyres. Lowered 50mm. They fit under the arches no problem.

Re: Waxoyl or Dinitrol
We use dinitrol on aircraft and I've used it on my bus. It's sprayed on at work, but I just brushed it on.

Re: Photo request, good condition fuse box cover.
Thanks for that!! As I suspected. The seller conveniently photographed it from angles you couldn't see. No mention of it in the description either.

Photo request, good condition fuse box cover.
Afternoon all, I need a couple of pictures of a good condition fuse box cover. Reason being I just picked one up on eBay and I'm convinced it's damaged. There is only a hook on one side. Can this be right? It's hard to tell if any thing has snapped off. I've searched online, but cannot find any dece...

Re: Plastic Interior Trim
The best of a bad bunch imo is the carplan black trim wax. I've tried all sorts. Mrs owns a Corsa with loads of black plastic and it worked great. Autoglym green gel is "pooh". I used the car plan on my interior plastic and they looked 100% better. Even did the rubber mat. It needs a buff ...

Re: T3 wind deflectors
Dubflectors... really good quality I've not been impressed-offside one never fitted properly and was replaced (eventually) as was an apparent bad batch. They still occasionally come out at the base of the window and in my experience are not that great. Other people rate them so perhaps the quality ...

Re: Help with safe wheels swap - have kids
Is it lowered? It looks lowered in the picture, maybe those big ass tyres you've put on create the illusion of looking lowered? Could you be bottoming out when you go over a bump?

Re: New wheels
There were different stud patterns for different models. Early golfs 4x100, then 5x100 and the odd 5x112. Depends what year the r32 wheels are. The mk5 and mk6 had 5x112, which is what you require. The centre bore will be 57mm not the 67mm you require. You could get them machined, but then you have ...

Re: Toying with the idea, whats the benefits?
Decided against the idea now. However have been offered these for £80. Didn't know whether to take these instead and paint them Matt black. http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad262/georgehaworth/272F6AB7-BC70-4807-8615-FF07835AEFEA_zpsjql8udfr.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return f...

I use muc off that I have for my bike. Seems to work well. Don't let dry though as it leaves stains.

Re: Donor vehicle
Slight aside = How much do breakers pay for an average scrap car these days? A mate of mine has had a scrap Tranny on the (private) lane at the side of his house for years now. I keep suggesting he gets a a breaker to come and collect it - feasible? Thinks to self, why am I asking here, should just...
