Re: Gutters leaking into drivers footwell
It's better but not perfect. Have just added more tape and will leave to get more wet ...

Re: Gutters leaking into drivers footwell
Thanks. Will give that a go when I can borrow a spare pair of hands. Just put some of the plastic tape that you can use as door and window frame draught sealer on the body of the van where the door seal touches. Won't have long to wait to see if it's worked - plenty of rain forecast tomorrow ... Gill

Re: Gutters leaking into drivers footwell
That sounds easy but looks rather difficult to me! How??? I was also wondering about packing out the existing seal somehow ...

Re: Gutters leaking into drivers footwell
Think I've fixed all the leaks round windows etc. Seen evidence of exactly where it's coming in and it's through the top of the door, pretty much in the middle. Shame - sealant is so easy if a bit time-consuming! Last year though it came through one of my little high-top windows and into my zig unit...

Door seal replacement
So, I've filled the gutters with sealant and water is still coming into my drivers footwell. It seems to be coming in at the top of the door and going under the carpets via the attachment of the seatbelt. Looks like I need new door seals. How easy is this and where is the best place to get the seals...

Re: Gutters leaking into drivers footwell
Hm. Looks like I might need to replace the door seals .... Don't expect that'll be straightforward!

Gutters leaking into drivers footwell
My Hi Top came back from the bodywork place with lots of extra sealant in the gutters. Recently I have been getting a LOT of water into the drivers footwell which is clearly coming over the door and down through the seat belt attachment on the floor. There were a few holes in the sealant so I have f...

Pull out awning/tarp
My high top has a gutter full of sealant so it is not possible to attach an awning to it. Generally I don't want to add a tent-type awning but I often do want some shade or to put a rain cover over the door. Some of these tarps look quite good but I haven't actually seen one in action over a T25 Hig...

Re: Fridge won't ignite
Interesting! I bought the van from a dog owner! Worth a look I think. Bracing myself for it.

Re: Fridge won't ignite
Thank you for that ebay link. £64 is quite a lot of money - now seriously thinking about whether to do solar panels and get a really power efficient fridge. Mind you - it's chucking it down with rain now and my house solar panels are only making 44w!
Do these vans ever stop eating money?

Fridge won't ignite
I spent last summer using my fridge as a cool box and paying for ice blocks at campsites. I'm told it just needs a new ignition thingy. Where would I get one of these and how easy is it to fit? I live in South West London but obviously the van has wheels and an engine ....

Re: Lights not working after relining
Thanks - it was a combination of a fuse blowing due to wires touching when being pulled through the hole in the cupboard and an exposed wire from the battery fuse touching the metal of the casing holding the battery. I knew I should have disconnected the battery. Should have paid more attention duri...

Lights not working after relining
I relined my high-top last weekend and the lights were all working perfectly until we wired up the round one over the cooker (yes, we got the wires the right way round!). This is probably an easy fix but I have no idea where to start! Any suggestions? At the same time as the light was being rewired ...

Re: Relining T25 hi-top
Finally, I plucked up courage to do this and, with the help of a local carpet fitter, it is done and looks so much better. I even insulated the doors while the panels were off. Quite a bit of entertainment relocating screw holes in doors to put panels back but otherwise quite easy. I needed 22sq met...
