Re: New Ignition Coil - still poor running
We had the same symptoms a few years ago. AA changed the coil. ran for 10 mins then stopped again. Turned out to be water in the fuel tank. It looked ok from underneath but the top had rotted out. Reasonably common problem apparently. I'd start there.

Drive Shaft Knocking...I think.
Hi, Yesterday a knocking noise developed when driving our van. When the clutch is depressed it stops and is worse under load. We've experienced this before but not for a couple of years. I've read various threads and it seems to be the drive shaft. So, I have a question: When I move the nearside dri...

Re: Starting problems
Good post, keep it coming. Our van keeps burning distributor contact points and rotor arms so this is very useful.

Thank you all for responses. Got to the bottom of it. Contacts on the distributor were burnt up. Cleaned them up and rotor arm and seems much happier now.

Urgent advice required please
Hi all We are away on holiday on the French Germany border. The van is struggling to run but I noticed that one of the aluminium heat exchanger pipes had broken. I have just, after several glasses of red wine, reattached it. Could its detachment result in poor running? Hanks in advance for any advic...

Re: Baby bed ideas
We made a nice little bed up on the floor for our little one. She slept there for three years whenever we went away until she stopped wriggling around at night enough to sleep in a stretcher bed above the front seats. Just needed to remember she was there when we got up for a pee in the night!

Re: Rain leakages
A bit late responding to this one but we have the same problem. Water drips in at the back exactly above where your head would be when sleeping. Nearside only. Only happens when parking on slight incline, nose up. I think I've traced it to the seal around the front end of the high-top leaking. I thi...
