Had a look at that thread and found how much the panel cost. Makes me feel much more positive!
I was almost on the verge of parting it out but now I'm back to rebuilding!!! Just need to find someone to make it for me now.
Thanks

Re: Has anyone had to replace the full side panel?
They were sold out and aren't responding to emails. Might have to try ringing instead.
I still have a crap panel in but don't want to start cutting until I know I can get a replacement! Haha.

Re: Has anyone had to replace the full side panel?
Yeah I meant the middle panel above where the fridge vent would be from the bottom to the roof line.
How much was the panel you had made? I can get the bottom half from the usual places, just not the top half now!

Has anyone had to replace the full side panel?
Afternoon everyone! I need to replace the side panel on my van. Its a panel van. I can get the bottom half but need the top half too which I cant find anywhere. Id just use sheet metal but it isn't flat.
What options do I have? I'd prefer a panel van panel but if I have to Ill put a window in.

Not t25 specifically but HR autos at meadowfield are canny and don't charge the earth. They mainly do land rovers and custom off road stuff.

Re: Early gearbox late van
Which parts Do you mean? The gearbox mount kit? The mount is canny and there is a tube to extend the linkage with it but looking at it, if I use the front late and rear early linkage it might just fit. I'm just waiting to get some bits from brickwerks when they are back in stock to try and install e...

Re: Early gearbox late van
Post back from the dead a bit... I think I have the big bits I need for this now. I have the shift linkage, am I right in thinking I use the front part from the late van and the rear from early? It seems to line up already doing that because the front part of the late linkage is longer than the earl...

Re: Exhaust supplier EJ20 ?
In my beetle I just put a stock one on backwards and bolted a modified bike can to it as above. It is low but I haven't replaced the sump yet and it's better to scrape through an exhaust than a sump haha. Cost me 20 quid plus a favour from a mate!

There is a company that make RnR beds with integrated seatbelts based in Scotland somewhere. M1 beds or something.

M1 is in Nottingham. Not crash tested but look solid and I've not seen any negative reviews.

Re: Inner sill/load bed repair threads?
Pretty much that cheers dude. The outer panel has been replaced at some point so the bit I need to fix is just the floor edge. I'll just make a patch, I have some sheet steel and the rest of the still is solid.

Re: Subaru conversion? - thoughts please
I have subaru power in my beetle, cost about 1200 to do mainly myself including donor car, all fitting kit, strengthening bar etc. £6k to have one fitted sounds totally ridiculous to me. Im no mechanic and i can do it. Engine and loom (modified for plug and play) is approx 750 - 1000, rjes kit maybe...

Inner sill/load bed repair threads?
Hi all, I have found some rust in the top part of the sill on the o/s in my rhd panel van. It is where the side panel joins the sill. I know metal mickey had some great threads on repairing this area previously but are there any still available? by anyone? Forums have been ruined by photobucket remo...
