Re: Cable size for second 'leisure' battery
Hello, i was after some advice on Lesiure batteries. I last bought a leisure battery a couple of years ago and when i was driving with both the 'car' battery and the leisure one connected. The leisure battery sometime into the journey began to bellow out smoke - i pulled over and disconnected it. It...

Re: installing solar power in a westy
Many thanks for your reply Martin. I have been given a rigid solar panel (120w) by my father. If i were to buy one i would probably go for a flexible, although on researching this, they're not as efficient-but i expect that's a small difference. It does need the clearance that the fixing kit gives, ...

Re: installing solar power in a westy
I'm just about to install a solar panel on the roof, has anyone used these fixing brackets? If so, do they work ok with the glue that is being recommended? These are the brackets i have in mind [ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Solar-Panel-Mounting-bracket-kit-cable-Entry-Gland-perfect-for-motorhome-boat-...

Re: Please help water jacket seal!!!
As i have drained the coolant partially, if i top it up with water and drive it there then ask them to flush it out when they have made the repair, will that do any damage-or would itbe ok for a short time? Any ideas? If you mean top it up and bleed it etc with water rather than the 50% red anti-fr...

Re: Please help water jacket seal!!!
Good going Yetti. Looks like mine will need the same, doesn't look like a split hose on mine either :( I'm thinking of taking mine to a garage in Pompey to get it looked at, as i haven't really the time to do it. As i have drained the coolant partially, if i top it up with water and drive it there t...

The very best of luck yetti8.
I have a similar problem, i think. Not sure if it's split hose or a leak from the block.
Going to look today

Re: Help please, serviced van now it won't start!
If you've got a good spark at the plugs and correct gap it can only be fuel issue. Pump working well and fuel hose between pump and carb is not blocked, then next thing is the fuel filter at the carb itself (the brass gauze thing) which is often overlooked. If that's ok then possible blocked jets i...
