Temperature Sensor plug?

HI All, My temp guage has just stopped working and assuming I have correctly located the sensor it is because one of the wires is broken... Does this sound like the right thing on an AAZ: just forward of the glow plugs, sticking up and slightly to the right, there is a squarish socket with a plug wh...

Re: Starter motor not turning over... loose wire?

Thanks for the advice guys. I decided to get the AA out he concluded the starter was firstly knackered and secondly had a broken wire between solenoid and starter (he ran a wire from + on battery to starter and it sort of chugged but didn't start the engine). So, I deployed the most powerful tool in...

Re: Starter motor not turning over... loose wire?

Thanks for that, I will have a more detailed inspection shortly. Fairly certain that the cable in this picture: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-e0xttI8Bu-A/UH1UfS0PbHI/AAAAAAAAEvI/wjLurv2UDss/s512/20121016_125117.jpg which is the same one which can be seen partially in this one: https://lh5.googl...

Starter motor not turning over... loose wire?

Hi All, Just back from a weekend where the van worked perfectly, turned off engine to take bikes off the rack and it won't start. The lights come on, the stereo works, just nothing happens when I go to the second key position, although I think when I first did it there was a very short turn-over the...

Re: Scottish Syncronauts September gathering and offroad weekend

Thanks to all for a great weekend of learning what my van can and can't do. Alex says she enjoyed it but next time she is not coming unless other wives and children come... Thanks to Alistair for organising it, trying to pull me out then dragging me round the fire for an hour in 4th as water pumped ...

We may also go along to this. Is the club going to do a stand or similar?

Re: Tank Straps

Think I got mine from Syncro Services in Germany... In fact I only replaced one of them (the bigger one) so have the shorter one spare. Do you want it?

Re: syncronutz

... We need to try to keep these places going as they are a great source for those hard to find parts. :ok Hear Hear! And the new AAZ engine fitted in my Syncro last week is proof that SyncroNutz are still alive and kicking (thanks Russell!). I have never yet had a reply to an email though and the ...

Re: Morocco

Hi All, Just saw this post and wonder if there are any fellow Syncro owners scooting round Morocco at the moment? My wife, 1 year old son and I will be driving down from Scotland at the beginning of April for about a month. No specific plans other than a week or so climbing Toubkal. Any recommendati...

Re: Event in Scotland

Yes! Having just got my Syncro in Edinburgh, bring it on!

Especially as I only found out about SyncroPendence today, having been down at a party down south last weekend anyway... I would have loved to try my new toy in some mud.
