Re: Steering wheel nut
Sorry I missed typed I meant to say nut not not?
Its very tight so I wanted to ensure which direction it turns so as not to damage it. I will try anti clockwise as per your suggestion.

Re: Start not start??
Hi Brian
Good to hear from my techno buddy.
My 'Volkesie' has been running sweet with just this annoying ignition thing.
If I change it does that mean a new key or can the barrels be swapped?
Thanks
colin

When I put the ignition key in and turn it, occassionally it does not turn over the starter motor no click or nothing although the lights on the dash come on?
After a couple of attempts it finally connects and starts ok.
I am not a sparky any DIY ideas to rectify?
Any help appreciated

Smoking engine?
Took the camper out for a drive after been away for two weeks and started it up and plume of blue smoke came out of the exhaust. It settled down but there is still a hint of smoke coming out after driving two miles. It's a petrol engine. Any ideas?
