Re: Oil light not coming on
Thanks Mocki can you tell me where it is exactly? How do you bridge the pressure sensors exactly? Excuse my ignorance but new to all this and trying to learn!

Oil light not coming on
Until very recently the oil light was functioning correctly- coming on when ignition was turned on and then switching off during driving. The last couple of times it has not come on at all, but van drives well. It has recently has a head gasket change, but it was fine up till then and also for 2 mon...

Re: No hot air
Thanks Bert yes it did get drained. Thing is it actually started working when I took the van for a proper run on the motorway- got some decent hot air and temp gauge went down to half way or just over. Around town it's a different story. Even after driving around for a while, with the needle three q...

No hot air
Hi at the moment not getting any hot air into the van. It used to work before had head gasket done, but can't see any connection between the two so don't think it's because of that?? Yes mechanic will investigate soon but just wondered if you folks had any idea. Also my blower stopped working a whil...

Re: Temp Gauge reading
Thanks Mocki yeah I guess it depends on a few things. Thing is I've just had the head gasket done after overheating issue (guess why...yes because the temp gauge had never worked and water hose split!) and my mechanic had done a good job but said to keep an eye on the coolant level. Haven't had the ...

Temp Gauge reading
I've got a 1.9 TD in my T25. Was wondering where the needle should normally be on the temp gauge, when engine is hot and running normally.

Re: It's off with the cylinder head!
Cheers for the info. Yes a few have said they shouldn't be skimmed but I know it's been done without any problem- obviously not taking too much off.
One question was whether I need to set 1st cylinder to TDC before taking the head off??

It's off with the cylinder head!
I'm about to attempt to take off the cylinder head on the AAZ engine in my van. It overheated and needs a gasket replacement- I hope that is all- as well as a skim and crack test of course. The fear is that it could be worse and i'll have to get a recon head or whatever. Anyway, I picked up a Haynes...

Re: AAZ Blown Head Gasket Replacement
Hi thanks for the reply. I wanted to get an idea of prices from members on the forum who have had this work done. Out of interest, how much labour is involved in getting the head off and on again, because as far as I can tell, the machining seems quite chaeap, relatively...something like £100...woul...

AAZ Blown Head Gasket Replacement
Sadly my T25 overheated after one of the hoses split underneath and because my temp gauge wasn't working it was too late! Definitely have exhaust gases bubbling through the coolant and out the reservoir...so head gasket blown :( My mechanic has given me a quote of £600 which includes all parts as we...

Temperature gauge not working
Since fitting an aaz into my T25 the temp gauge has never really worked- it's only ever registered a tiny bit. To someone who didn't know it seems as though the needle doesn't move at all. That is until one day, while running the van to check all was fine with a newly-installed water pump, the needl...
