Headlights went dead driving down a busy dark Fens road!

Hi I had a rather unnerving issue last weekend when all my front lights died on a twisty, Fens road at night! When I managed to get to a safe place I wiggled the earths on the crowns behind the fusebox and the lights sprang back into life ...... the usual T25 electrical problem I thought. Today I we...

Interior refit needed -recommendations please

Hi My 1986 T25 Autosleeper Trident is having a full re-spray in October and I think it'd make sense to get the interior done at the same time. It needs new fabric linings, new upholstery and the original cupboards/units could do with a bit of tlc. Can anyone recommend a company who could do this for...

Re: fridge reconditioning

The fridge in my camper is now 29 years old, it works but I think it needs re-gassing. Why? well on hook-up when the van is 100% level it works within seconds, but if it isn't perfectly level then it can take up to 45 mins to start cooling down - thus I reckon that it's working fine but just needs m...

Re: Recommendations for a pierburg carburettor refurb/rebuild

Hi

does he come recommended?

I called him and he quoted me £85 + VAT but it was only a drive-in service and i'm based just N of London.

My concern was that i was told the refurb kit, when it was last available from VW, cost over £120 .... so £85 worries me a tad

Recommendations for a pierburg carburettor refurb/rebuild

Hi I had a Remtec DG engine fitted last year and have had constant problems with it! Currently getting it looked at yet again and probably having new rings fitted ..... but need to make sure that everything else is also sorted out just in case the problem was not engine related. So i am looking for ...

Re: Which recon enginewould you recommend

Hi Rob sorry mate but i was trying to make a decision pretty sharpish and it looked like most people were only replying to the most recent postings .... so as my queries developed i posted new questions. A bit cumbersome maybe but i got the required info in the end and thanks for amalgamating them a...

Re: Which recon engine would you recommend?

Ok, so after much research and many postings on this forum it came down to: EliteVW the Engine shop Remtec Vege I have decided to go with the option that had the fewest negative review/views and have just ordered a Remtec, complete with exhaust, water pump and clutch. Fingers crossed 'cos it's costi...
