JX Turbo removal

I need to remove my JX turbo. Is is straight forward or even possible to remove on it's own or does it need to come out with the inlet manifold?

Re: Which injector pipes?

I would guess that the pump belongs to the 1Y block but since the engine was replaced before I bought the vehicle I can't be sure. It looks like the pipes to no.2 and no.3 injector are original and you can make out the original clip marks. No.4 is a replacement I made about 6 or 7 years ago and no.1...

Which injector pipes?

Later today I am off to my friendly Injector guru to have a new injector pipe made up. I would like to get a new genuine set for my 1Y 1.9 engine but am unsure which one would fit. The pipes currently on the vehicle are a mixed bunch which look like they have been sourced from other vehicles and bee...

Re: Replacing T25 Servo

Old ones are being sold on Ebay!!(not mine I hasten to add) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-T25-parts-clutch-cilinder-/271205766777" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The master cylinders I had trouble with leaked at the inlet seal where fluid tops up from the reservoir. I gave u...

Yes I saw the Brikwerks one, it actually looks like it might do the job.

DECENT Clutch master cylinder needed

Can anyone point me towards a decent clutch master cylinder? I have been through 3 in the last 3 years and am getting a bit fed up with the rubbish masquerading as engineering that I have been able to find. I still have my original cylinder and would refurbish it if I could find the seals. I know I ...

Re: Replacing T25 Servo

Just ordered up a new clutch master cylinder, the old one worked but looks original and while I am at it and its so fiddly I thought I may as well save myself a job in the future. Can I ask you where you are getting your new master cylinder from and how much it is costing you? I have had nothing bu...

Oil pump replacement

Does anyone have any advise regarding the procedure for replacing the oil pump in a diesel block. I'm guessing it comes out through the sump.

Re: Just lost reverse, second and fourth

Someone must know how to sort this. Is it a box-out fix or can it be sorted in situ.

Re: Just lost reverse, second and fourth

My problem appears to be wear at the rear linkage but not on the linkage but the splines projecting from the gearbox

Someone tell me this is an easy fix, I'm hoping it is a "pop off and replace".

Just lost reverse, second and fourth

Looks like it's my turn to have gearchange issues. 5 speed box. Reverse is just possible with a bit of luck, second and fourth are unobtainable. Gear linkage looks like it is doing it's job.
Any pointers?

I found someone local to sort me out. Not as cheap as you though. When I said "non standard" I meant not standard for a T25. The engine has caused me a few problems when looking for parts as I don't know the age or the original vehicle. The best guess I've been given is that it's probably ...

Which Injector pipe ??

I have a cracked Injector Pipe on my non standard 1Y 1.9 non turbo and am having trouble finding a replacement. Is there anything complicated about these things or are the differences only in the length and shape. I don't want to pay money for a pipe that won't fit but I am happy to make one fit by ...

Which Starter Motor?

I have an 88 Transporter, originally a 1600 TD but which now has a 1Y 1.9 D fitted. I have been advised that the starter will be from the 1Y engine and not from the original TD. Anyone know if this is the case?
