Engine Rebuild
Good Morning, I am having the head rebuilt on me 1.9 waterbox. Head blow issue, all studs corroded, oil ring control etc. So, my question is... am i being foolish not having the bottom engine stripped and rebuilt at the same time? Engine has always seemed pretty tight... clock on about 80k and I don...

Which mig welder
Hello, I have booked onto an evening class starting in January to learn some welding, the van is in need of usual panel replacements and plates. In the excitement i fancied getting a welder ahead of time and get practicing, I found this local to me on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ......

Re: Trouble starting after refueling
Thats what i had been doing but it didn't seem to be setting the fast idle(so i would then catch and blip throttle), it then started working fine (possibly because i was slower and held the peddle at the bottom for a second when priming), and the first time i had the starting problem after refueling...

Re: Trouble starting after refueling
Cheers,
Will try and check tonight.
The choke didn't seem to be priming properly (i was having to catch it with the throttle after starting until warmed) but since this problem started it seemed to be functioning fine.

Trouble starting after refueling
Good Morning all, Bit of a strange one, am wondering if its just me! Running a 1984 1.9DG, recent battery, leads, plugs, (1month) recon starter and alt in last 12 months. Running very well overall, however... Wednesday evening i filled him up with fuel (correct grade) and he then wouldn't start, bat...

Re: LPG Conversion for 1.9 Caravelle
Has anyone tried
55ltr zero degree tank (580mm x 200mm) specifically for the Type 25 (T3) to fit in place of the spare wheel
If so do you just carry around a can of gunk now instead?

Re: What coolant
Thanks TMT
Seems logical enough, mostly concerned about making the foolish mistake of using the wrong coolant and ending up with jelly in my van.
I shall proceed (after studying the wiki)
Many Thanks

What coolant
Hello, I have had my van for 3 years and i am ashamed to say have never changed the coolant... I noticed the other day that the expansion tank was down to minimum so put some water in to get me home before doing a well overdue drain, replace and bleed. I have been reading the wiki's to try and ensur...

Priming mechanical choke
Hello to all, MIght be setting myself up for some mild p133 taking but..... Can anyone tell me the correct way to prime the autochoke when starting? It's my understanding (correct me if i'm wrong) that the autochoke on my van is entirely mechanical with no priming device or idle valve (?) and that i...
