Re: Viking Roof - Closing with cushions...

Hi, has anyone with a Viking roof ever replaced the gas struts? One of mine has broken and the other isn't enough to do the job on it's own. Where to find...?

Re: Fitting a 009 Distributor

I was told by the guy at The Engine Shop (who built the engine) to use a 009 and standard coil on this engine with the 40 IDF's, rather than the stock vacuum advance unit with electronic ignition, which would not be suitable...should I be confused yet?

Fitting a 009 Distributor

I am fitting a 009 to my Type 4 CU motor (with twin 40 IDF's) - where do I connect the (green) condenser lead to? Also, I have changed the coil for a new Bosch Blue unit, which has + and - terminals instead of 1 and 15 - there is a black lead from the wiring loom, to which will this connect? Thanks ...

T25 Distributor and Fuel Pump

Is anyone able to identify which is the inlet and which is the outlet on a T25 fuel pump fitted to a 2 litre Aircooled motor? I could turn the motor over to find out, but as it is new, I would rather get it right first time! And I don't really want to take it off to find out either, but will if I ha...

Mods to rear valance when fitting big exhaust to T25

Hi, have fitted an EMPI twin box exhaust to my 2 litre T25 and it fouls the rear valance. What is the generally accepted method of sorting this? I could bend it backwards, forwards or cut it off!

hi gunslinger, where to the hoses heading left and right from the bugpack box go to? have you fed them into the air filters or direct into the manifolds?

Removal of heater fan from alternator on T4 2 litre engine

Does anyone have a tip on removing the heater fan from the alternator on a T4 2000cc engine in a T25? If I lock the alternator cooling fan, it just turns, and wrapping the aluminium heater fan in a rag and standing on it is just going to bend it! Any ideas about stopping the alternator shaft turning...

Re: Twin Webers on CU engine in T25

thanks for the reply, another question...there are two take-offs on each manifold leg, does yours have these? shall I blank them off or should they be connected to something?

Twin Webers on CU engine in T25

I am installing a pair of twin 40IDF Weber carbs on a 2.0 litre CU into my T25. I have the manifolds and linkage, any tips/hints about fuel lines, vacuum lines, fuel pumps, air filters, carb settings etc would be very much appreciated. The engine is stock reconditioned (from TES) apart from a fast r...
